Privacy Statement

AECO Technologies (M) Sdn. Bhd. cares of your privacy. We created this Privacy Statement so you know how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information. Please read through this Privacy Statement to understand our privacy practices. If you have any inquiries, please don't hesitate to email to us at sales@aeco.com.my or by sending letter to the address which stated at the end of this Privacy Statement.

This Privacy Statement explains how AECO collects the information on the websites where this Privacy Statement is posted and from certain of our products and applications. Certain AECO websites or those of our affiliates may have different privacy practices from those set forth below. It is encouraged for you to check the privacy statement of each AECO website you visit. Users of certain of our products and applications are given with another privacy statements that are specific to those products and applications — in those instances, those privacy statements supplement should be read in conjunction with this Privacy Statement.

1. COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION

A. Personal Information
We identify your individual information from “Personal Information”. We collect your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and payment card information during the time you create an account on a Garmin website, register your products, purchase a map update or product on a Garmin website, sign up for a newsletter, participate in promotional activities, or contact our customer support personnel. We may use your Personal Information for the few reasons as below:

Communications During the time where we provide you with the products and services request, to give you important information about your products or applications, when we send you offers and promotions regarding our products and applications, and when you make a transaction with us.

Customer Support We may collect Personal Information such as your name, phone mailing address, information about the Garmin product you have, serial number, date you purchased (if applicable) event logs that are useful in diagnosing product or application performance related issues; and information relating to a support or service issue which during the time you interact with our customer support representatives through email, telephone or face to face. This information is used to provide you with customer and product support.

Purchases We will use your payment card information that is related to your payment and account information, included your name and mailing address if applicable, for the purpose of filling your purchases or collecting payment of recurring fees, if applicable when you give us your payment card information on a Garmin website or directly on your Garmin product.

Promotions We may use Personal Information to administer when you enter into a contest or similar promotion. To the extent that the terms and conditions of any such promotion regarding the treatment of Personal Information about you conflict with this Privacy Statement, the terms and conditions of the promotion will control.

Information Posted by Visitors We may make available through certain of our sites' services as message boards, forums, chat functionality and blogs, among other services and so on to which you are able to post information and materials. Do note that any information you written through these kind of services or our sites may become public information, and may allow visitors to view and become general public. We urge you to be careful and caution when deciding to reveal Personal Information, or any other information, on our sites. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE USE OF ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU DISCLOSE THROUGH THE SITES FREE WILLY.

B. Other Information

"Other Information" is information that does not disclose your specific identity or does not directly relate to an individual, such as: browser and device information, app usage data, information collected through cookies, pixel tags and other technologies, demographic information and other information provided by you, and aggregated information. We may use and reveal Other Information for any reason, except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable law. If there is any necessary to use Other Information as Personal information under applicable law, then we may use it as stated in “Personal information” section above, as well as for all the purposes for which we use and disclose Personal information. In some cases, we may combine Other Information with Personal Information. The combined information will be treated as Personal Information as long as it is combined.

Location Information If you select to use location-based services, such as weather, movie traffic information, fuel prices and information regarding local events, on your Garmin application or device, then the physical location of your device will be collected in order to provide you with location-based services. We collect these location data anonymously. If you are consented when using Garmin navigation device or application then Garmin will collect and upload from your device data such as location, speed and direction. This data would be aggregated with data from devices of other consenting users to enhance the quality of traffic data and other content provided by Garmin or content providers. We may also share or sell this data to third parties. This data would again be share and sold anonymously.

Points of Interest Feedback We encourage users to provide feedback — such as airports, shopping malls, gas stations and many others — that are preloaded onto our products so that more accurate information regarding points of interest can be provided to you and other users in the future. Any comments or suggestions you give regarding a point of interest is provided on a purely voluntary basis and is we will collect it as anonymous. You may have a chance to create new points of interest on your Garmin device, to upload photographs and other information related to points of interest and to existing and newly created points of interest with third parties. Any content that you bring forth is purely voluntary basis and you should not have expectation that Garmin will keep it as private or confidential. This content would be collected anonymously in a form and does not personally identify you.

Ad Event Logs If you choose to use applications, such as traffic data and content that advertisements, we may collect information such as which advertisements you viewed, how often they were clicked and how often certain actions such as saving a coupon or calling or routing to a location corresponding to an advertisement were performed. All this information allows advertising providers to provide you with content and advertising that you might be interested. This information is collected and shared with our applicable partners anonymously in a way that does not personally identify you.

Activities Some Garmin websites are allowing you to upload activities (for example, runs, swims, hikes, geocaches, adventures, etc.) voluntarily from your Garmin unit. You can control who can access such activities by managing the privacy settings on those websites.

Server Log Information We and our service providers use server log information to calculate usage levels, helping diagnose problems with Garmin's servers and administering Garmin's websites. These server logs may include information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, the time(s) of your visit(s) and the web page(s) that you visited. Many websites automatically collect IP addresses and it is a standard practice for them. Please note that we treat IP Addresses, server log files, and related information as Other Information, except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable laws.

Cookies and Other Technology We may use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIF's other similar tools on our websites or in our email messages. These technologies help us to keep track of your movements in our sites, measure the effectiveness of advertisements, compile aggregate statistics about site usage and response rates, and smooth out for you to navigate our websites. In addition, Garmin uses Google Analytics as to track site statistics and user behavior on many of our sites. We may also engage one or more third party service providers to serve online advertisements on our behalf. They may use a pixel tag to collect anonymous information about our visits to sites, and use that information to advertise goods and services that target to you. For more information regarding this practice and to choose whether to use this information by our third party service providers.

If you do not wish that your information is collected through the use of these technologies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers which allows you to decline most of these technologies automatically, or manually decline or accept them. In addition, if you reside in a jurisdiction that requires us to obtain your consent to use these technologies on our sites then you will have an opportunity to manage your cookie preferences on the sites; except that there are certain cookies are required to enable core site functionality which you cannot simply disable those cookies.

We use Flash cookies to store objects, in some circumstances where we will use the Adobe Flash Player to show special content such as videos or video clips. Flash uses this technology to remember settings, preferences and usage similar to browser cookies but Flash cookies are not managed through your web browser.

Social Media Features and Widgets We may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and they might set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly, in some of our sites which have social media features. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our sites. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing the feature. Please note that we do not responsible for the collection, usage and disclosure policies and practices (including the data security practices) of other organizations, such as Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, RIM or any other app, social media platform or wireless service provider.

Framing While serving content of our partners in our webpages, we may use framing masking techniques which can preserve the look and feel of our sites.

Use of Apps Garmin and our service providers may track and collect app usage data, like the and time the app on your device accesses to our servers and the information and files have been downloaded to the app based on your device number when you download and use the apps.

Single Sign-on You can log in to certain parts of our sites using sign-in services, such as Connect or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to SHARE certain personal information such as your name and email address to pre-populate the registration or log-in form. Services like Facebook Connect give you the option to post information about your activities on certain parts of our sites to your profile page to SHARE with others within your network.

2. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

A. Affiliated Entities
We may share information that you provide to Garmin with our affiliates worldwide for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. You may access a list of our affiliates in our latest Annual Report on Form 10-K, which can be found at www.sec.gov. Our affiliates are required to protect Personal Information about you in a manner consistent with this Privacy Statement. Garmin International, Inc. is the party responsible for managing jointly used Personal Information.

B. Service Providers
We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and websites or administer activities on our behalf, like completing your purchases, processing payment card payments and shipping products to you. We may share Personal Information about you, which included your payment card information, so that these third parties are able to perform their services.

C. Other Disclosures
We may disclose Personal Information about you to others if you allow us to do so in such form of consent as may be required under applicable law. Besides that, we may also disclose Personal Information to others which we believe to be required or appropriate: (a) under applicable law or regulation, including laws or regulations outside your country of residence; (b) to assist or support theft investigations involving Garmin products or property, (c) to fulfill the requests from public authorities and law enforcement officials, including officials outside your country of residence; (d) to obey the legal process; (e) to enforce any of our terms and conditions or policies; (f) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates and subsidiaries; (g) to protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of Garmin, its affiliates and subsidiaries, you, or others; or (h) to go on to available solution or lower down the damages.

D. Assignment
We may transfer Personal Information to a third party, an affiliate, a subsidiary, or in the event of any reorganization, assignment, merger, transfer, sale, joint venture or other disposition of all or any portion of Garmin's business, assets, or stock, including, without limitation, in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceeding.

3. VOLUNTARILY SHARING YOUR LOCATION INFORMATION WITH OTHERS

You might able to choose to use a Garmin or third party application on your device that allows the third parties to view your location on another Garmin device and/or on a website. If you choose to use such an application, you should be caution when using to whom you want to make your location information available. If you choose to post an invitation to view your location information on third party social networks, then it depends on the privacy practices of those social networks, it is possible that persons in addition to those to whom you intended to invite to view your location information could have access to such information. Accordingly, you should be careful when invitating via third party social networks and please read the privacy practices carefully. If you use a Garmin application or product to invite third parties to view your location, then Garmin will also provide you with a privacy statement that relates specifically to such application or product and which supplements this privacy statement.

4. LINKS, THIRD PARTY APPLICATIONS, AND THIRD PARTIES' PRIVACY PRACTICES

There are some products and applications may contain links to other sites that are not operated by Garmin in our websites and our websites or your product may contain applications that you can download from third parties. We do not responsible to any privacy practices or content of these linked sites, services, and applications as it is not under our control. The Personal Information you given to them, your transaction will occur on the third party's site, service, and/or application and the information you provide will be collected by, and controlled by, the privacy statement of that third party. GARMIN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PRIVACY PRACTICES OR THE CONTENT OF THIRD-PARTY WEB SITES OR THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS. We advise you to read the privacy statement of any third parties.

5. SECURITY

Garmin takes serious security measures to help protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access,and unauthorized disclosure or alteration of the Personal Information under its control. On some of our sites you can create an account to participate or secure additional benefits. We use secure socket layer technology (SSL) to encrypt your information during the process of registration. If you doubt that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), please immediately contact us in accordance with Paragraph 10 below regarding the problem.

6. YOUR CHOICES REGARDING MARKETING CORRESPONDENCE

We don't share your Personal Information with third parties (other than our affiliates) for the third parties' marketing purposes unless you choose to and when we give you the opportunity to do so. We and our affiliates may use your Personal Information to send you marketing-related correspondence (including emails) related to products or applications unless you choose not to receive them. If you don't want to receive any marketing-related correspondence from Garmin and our affiliates, or to withdraw from your consent you had given before for us to share Personal Information about you with third parties for the third parties' marketing purposes, please email to us at webmaster@garmin.com. Please tell us whether you want to receive marketing-related correspondence from Garmin and our affiliates and/or withdrawing your previously given permission to share Personal Information about you with third parties for their marketing purposes.

7. USE OF WEBSITES, PRODUCTS AND APPLICATIONS BY CHILDREN

We request that individuals under 13 not provide any Personal Information to Garmin through any Garmin website or through our products and applications as Garmin products and applications are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We will delete the information once we figure out that we have collected the Personal Information of a child under 13.

8. UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT

To improve our current offerings, technologies and also changes of law, we may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time when we add new products and applications. The “LAST UPDATED” symbol on the top of this page indicates this Privacy Statement was last revised. Any changes will become effective upon our posting of the revised Privacy Statement on our affected websites. We will notify you through email if there is any change in material and, where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent.

9. RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION/p>

We are able to keep your Personal Information for the period necessary to attain the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement unless a longer retention period is required or is permitted by law.

10. REVIEWING/CORRECTING/UPDATING/DELETING INFORMATION; DATA INTEGRITY

We make sure that the Personal Information we collect from you is accurate, complete, and current. You may request to access and ask us to update Personal Information if any mistake and incorrect details, or delete your Personal Information. Within 30 days, we will respond immediately when you requested. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Information that is link with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before fulfill your request. We may reject to process you requests if it has jeopardized the privacy of others, are extremely unrealistic, or would cause us to take any action that is not permitted under applicable laws. Please note that we may have to keep certain information for recordkeeping, and we will also keep and not removing the residual information.
